Ms. Minahan’s practice involves a multitude of disciplines including criminal defense, DUI defense, domestic relations, divorce, paternity, custody, child support, juvenile law, adoption, landlord-tenant, municipal law, personal injury, probate and estate planning. Her experience includes trying jury and non-jury cases at the state level.
Educational and Professional Background
Ms. Minahan was born in Richmond Heights, Missouri, grew up in St. Charles, Missouri and now resides in Plattsmouth along with her family. Ms. Minahan graduated from Rockhurst University B.A. in political science and psychology with a minor in Spanish in 1997 and from Creighton University School of Law, earning her Juris Doctorate in 2000.
She was admitted to the Nebraska State Bar and U.S. District Court for Nebraska in 2000. She is a Member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorneys Association, Plattsmouth Rotary Club, City of Plattsmouth Planning Commission and the Second Judicial District Nominating Commission. She was also a founding member of the Cass County CASA program. She currently acts as the Village Attorney for Cedar Creek, Nebraska (2007-Present) and for Nehawka, Nebraska (2003 – Present). She previously served as the Village Attorney for the Village of Union, Nebraska. (2000 – 2009).
